Product Overview
RXSOL Neutralizing Amine – Steam & Condensate Corrosion Inhibitor
Product Type: DEAE and Morpholine-Based Neutralizing Amine Application: Boiler Feedwater, Steam and Condensate Systems Function: pH Adjustment and Corrosion Protection
Product Description
RXSOL Neutralizing Amine is a concentrated, water-soluble chemical treatment formulated with Diethylaminoethanol (DEAE) and Morpholine for pH adjustment and corrosion protection in boiler feedwater, steam distribution and condensate return systems.
The product is designed to neutralize carbonic acid formed when carbon dioxide dissolves in steam condensate. By maintaining the appropriate pH, it helps reduce acid-related corrosion of carbon steel piping, condensate lines and associated equipment.
The combination of DEAE and Morpholine provides complementary steam/condensate distribution characteristics, supporting corrosion protection across different sections of the system.
RXSOL-51-5005-210 Concentrated liquid neutralising agent for corrosion control in condensate and feed water systems, contain blends of low, medium and high volatility amines that provide great protection and neutralization of acidic gases, such as CO2 throughout a condensate system. Protects boiler surfaces by forming an iron tannate film.
A liquid neutralizing amine used to control corrosion and pH in steam and condensate systems.

We carry a complete line of condensate treatment chemicals. Condensate treatment chemicals are used to increase the condensate pH, thus reducing corrosion to the entire boiler steam system. The most common product is a tri-blend amine of cyclohexylamine, morpholine, and diethylaminoethanol (DEAE) neutralizing amines, although we do have standard RXSOL products or we can custom blend to your needs.

Application & Dosage
Application Instructions
Applications
Boiler Feedwater Treatment: Used for pH adjustment and control of acidic conditions in compatible boiler feedwater systems.
Steam Distribution Networks: Helps protect piping and associated equipment against carbonic acid corrosion.
Condensate Return Systems: Maintains suitable condensate pH to reduce corrosion and iron contamination.
Industrial Steam Plants: Applicable to power generation, petrochemical, refinery and manufacturing steam systems, subject to system-specific treatment requirements.
RXSOL-50-5005-025 is a blend of volatile liquid / steam distributions ratios that neutralise the acid contaminants in condensate and feed water thus providing protection against acid corrosion in the complete system. The most common cause of acid corrosion in condensate and feed water systems is dissolved carbon dioxide. Condensate control neutralises this acid and maintains the condensate and feed water in an alkaline condition
Used in medium and high-pressure boilers including ultra high-pressure boilers.
Fields Of Application:-
RXSOL-50-5005-025 is an effective neutralizing type corrosion inhibitor & oxygen scavanger for steam condensation system. And can also be used to protect Boilers /Metals surfaces form corrosion. It removes oxygen efficiently in open feed systems and gives effective corrosion inhibition of boiler/exhaust gas economizer system surfaces . Its Chemical reaction by converting Fe2O3 (rust) to organic iron compound protect further IRON rust reaction .
Operating Process:-
RXSOL-CC72 neutralizes the acid components of feed water. The proportion of RXSOL-50-5005-025 depends upon the Carbon dioxide content of the condensate. Basically RXSOL-50-5005-025 neutralizes the acid contents & maintains the condensate and feed water in the alkaline condition. It also protects copper based metals.
Recommended Dosage
Recommended Dosing Procedure
Inject the neutralizing amine into a suitable feedwater or condensate treatment injection point using a calibrated chemical dosing pump.
The dosage should be established from condensate pH, carbon dioxide loading, feedwater quality, steam distribution characteristics and operating conditions.
A typical condensate pH target may be approximately 8.5–9.2, but the correct range depends on system metallurgy, particularly the presence of copper alloys, and the applicable equipment specifications.
Monitor condensate pH, iron and copper concentrations, and treatment residuals to optimize dosing.
RXSOL-51-5005-210 condensate is tested for PH to determine the dosage level. The PH limits are 8.3 - 9.0 . For an average system e. g. 10-M3, the dosage is approximately 0.65 ltr / day .
The necessary amount of RXSOL-51-5005-210 is required or injected as frequently as to maintain the pH of the condensate at the main condensate pump outlet between 8.6-9.5 . The amines pass over with the steam and have the dual function of elevating the pH of the steam/condensate and putting a protective micro film on the system pipe work. Acidic condensate is the result of carbonic acid (H2CO3) being formed as CO2 is released in the steam.Condensate prevents corrosion by carbonic acid on live systems. Its filming properties also reduce corrosion on shut down lines, when moisture and oxygen are present.

Important Formulation Considerations
The specified DEAE and Morpholine ranges allow a combined active concentration above 22%, but the selected formulation must actually meet that requirement.
Two other specifications require particular attention:
Flash Point Above 90°C: This must be verified by closed-cup testing of the finished blend. The presence of DEAE can materially affect flash point, and an aqueous formulation should not be assumed to meet this limit without testing.
Vapour Pressure 0.5 mmHg at 37.8°C: This also requires verification on the finished formulation because the individual amines and water contribute to the blend's vapour pressure.
The chloride and sulphate limits are very low and should be confirmed using appropriate analytical methods and high-purity raw materials.
Storage & Handling
Store in tightly closed, chemically compatible containers in a cool, ventilated area. Protect against contamination, excessive heat and incompatible chemicals.
Use appropriate gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection. Consult the finished-product SDS before handling.
Regulatory note: DEAE and Morpholine use in steam systems may be restricted by steam end use, especially where steam can contact food or other regulated products.
