Molybdate and phosphonate based corrosion inhibitor for cooling water system. We are manufacturer and supplier of this special type of corrosion inhibitor which acts as Filming Agent to protect metal surface from corrosion and its chemical reaction also help to prevent formation of calcium phosphate deposition. RXSOL-40-4018 is a superior molybdate/phosphonate based corrosion inhibitor developed for use in closed cooling water systems. RXSOL-40-4018 prevents corrosion and deposits in closed and aerated cooling water systems. RXSOL-40-4018 contains inhibitors for steel, copper and copper alloys in combination with dispersants. RXSOL-40-4018 keeps the surface of the cooling systems clean and provides thus the basis for the formation of an effective corrosion protection film.  Sodium molybdate has the advantage in that the dosing of lower ppm's of molybdate allow for lower conductivity of the circulating water. Sodium molybdate at levels of 50-100 ppm offer the same levels of corrosion inhibition that sodium nitrite at levels of 800+ ppm. By utilizing lower concentrations of sodium molybdate, conductivity is kept at a minimum and thus galvanic corrosion potentials are decreased.

RXSOL-40-4018 is added neat or diluted to the cooling water. RXSOL-40-4018 can be mixed with water in any ratio.

Dosage requirements - The dosage rate is dependent on the system conditions and the amount of water lost from the system.

Systems should maintain 400 ppm - 1000ppm of product in the water, while systems with high water losses should maintain ca. 1500 ppm in the system.

DOSAGE: Corrosion inhibitor closed cooling systems Molybdate Phosphonate dosages may vary somewhat according to operating conditions, but generally 400-1000 ppm of Corrosion inhibitor closed cooling systems Molybdate Phosphonate should be maintained in the system water. This dosage should be doubled for a two-week period when initiating treatment, whenever the system is refilled with fresh water, and after any major system upsets, in order to establish effective corrosion control. If the stability index of the recirculated water is higher than 10.5, an alkalinity booster such as RXSOL pH Booster should be fed to reduce the index to less than 10.5.

Corrosion inhibitor closed cooling systems Molybdate Phosphonate should not be used when the stability index of the system water is below 3.0.

Corrosion inhibitor closed cooling systems Molybdate Phosphonate is controlled by a molybdate test, which provides easy and accurate control readings. Maintain 1 to 5 ppm MoO4 = at all times.

FEEDING: Corrosion inhibitor closed cooling systems Molybdate Phosphonate must be fed continuously to the system by a positive displacement chemical feeder. For maximum results, feed should be linked to makeup of bleedoff through the use of a flowmeter or conductivity controller. Residuals are adjusted and maintained by chemical test of the system to provide a residual of 1-5 ppm MoO4 = .

HANDLING: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective equipment (refer to MSDS for further information).
